A few logo examples...

Here is a can of Heinz tomato soup. The logo created for the can really suits the brand because it advertises it well there for it is doing it's job and making Heinz look good.

Research...

I have used various sources to research different kinds of logos. I have looked at logos for all different types of company's and  brands, mostly on the internet, such as Heinz soup tins, Mr Kipling cake boxes, Lucozade energy drinks bottles and old fashioned Colman's mustard jars etc...

I have also used The Computer Arts Project book for research which contains a lot of logos for all different types of brands and company's. I have noticed that the  book also contains a lot of useful information about different types of texts and fonts.

Text is very commonly used in logos to represent company's or brands. Sometimes logos are just pictures and sometimes they are just text, Or they can be used together to make the logo look better or simply just to help advertise the brand so as it gets more and more popular people will start to recognise the brand and the company can start advertising the brand using just the text or just the picture on it's own and people will still recognise it.

So far...

I have designed a minimum of 10 different logos for my music channel. I have made up a name for my music channel and decided to call it 'Music Station'.

I have also picked which logo out of my ten designs I am going to use to represent my music channel.
I have chosen this particular design because I feel it is the most creative and most cleverly designed.
